" Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
In Philippians 4:6-7, we are encouraged not to worry about anything, to cast our cares into God’s hands, and to pray with a thankful heart for all our petitions. Worrying is contrary to having faith and is yet, the first response to uncertainty because not knowing makes us restless and exhausted; we tend, by nature, to hold on, and we prefer not to lose control over our lives. We find it difficult to let go and trust God, even when that is precisely what God is asking us; He wants us to rest in Him, let go of the things that make us anxious, and let Him work. He wants us to cast all our cares to Him and receive His peace that surpasses all understanding.
Are you feeling restless?
Is your life full of stress and worries?
Are you afraid to let it go and let Him work?
Do not worry!
Yeah, it is easier said than done, I know! It is not easy to maintain our faith in this world we live in, especially when everywhere you go is someone or something who can discourage you. The enemy lurks in the corners waiting for any opportunity to ruin everything because he only wants to see you fail. God wants to help and give us peace, and it is not any peace; He wants to share His peace that surpasses all understanding, with us. His peace is not temporary like the one the world offers; it is a feeling of everlasting peace, full of joy and contentment. His peace reassures you that everything will be all right, that even when you cannot see it, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
We need to take our cares to God cause He is the Way Maker, the Chain Breaker, our Healer, our Provider, our Peace, and the Miracle Worker, and nothing is impossible to Him. Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you”. We should keep doing our part; we should not stop doing good. If we take care of God’s things, He will take care of us. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I invite you to make this prayer and let God take care of your worries and fill you with His peace:
Dear Lord, Thanks for your Word that does not return empty. Thank you for your infinite love for me, for loving me even when I do not deserve it. Please, take control of my life today, and I cast all my cares upon you. You are the only one who can change my life and straighten my life. You are the only one who can change this difficult time into a blessing. Help me to let go and start trusting you and your will. God, fill me with your peace and fill me up with your wisdom to make decisions accordingly to your Word and your will. Let me rest with the reassurance that you will grant me Victory over the things that torment me. Thanks, because I know you heard this prayer, and I will testify about your Almighty Power. In Jesus's Name, I pray, Amen!
